Description:
Created during (2006 - 2020), more towards the middle of this period, which I call Mid-Chapter 1. This series captures the moment when you feel on top of the world—driven to discover the rainbow within and awaken true happiness.
It’s about freedom of spirit, the sense of being part of the universe, and the journey toward emotional liberation. The butterfly, a central symbol in these works, moves through the wishing well of humanity’s wants and desires, reflecting the beauty, lightness, and complexities of understanding one another.
Each canvas in the triptych plays a role in this unfolding narrative:
• Simple Freedom – The raw joy of awakening, the moment of lightness and release.
• Shadows – The reflection, the depth, the search within the self and others.
• Together – The realisation that we exist not alone but as part of a greater whole.
The fluid, open strokes and translucent layers allow the viewer to drift through the composition, mirroring the movement of thought and energy. The delicate hand-drawn elements, whispers of words, and soft abstract forms create a space for contemplation—one that invites both personal reflection and shared connection.
This series is a celebration of being free, present, and part of something greater.
