Description:
Created during (2006 - 2020), more towards the middle of this period, which I call Mid-Chapter 1. This phase of my work was deeply introspective, exploring themes of memory, time, and the haunting presence of the past. “Ghosts” is part of that journey—an exploration of lingering thoughts, the weight of what was, and the desire to move forward.
Dear ghosts
hold me tight
In the morning calm
..
My past
calls me
..
Running to me
like honey to the bee
this haunted
past
of mine
..
Ghosts please set me free
..
I can no longer hide
from
this ticking clock
of time
..
Caught in moments
framed in my mind
..
Will you let me be
from the hands of others
from this place
called mind
..
Ghosts
set this body free
The fluid, whisper-like brushstrokes move across the canvas like echoes of the past—soft yet persistent. Faint figures emerge and dissolve, blending into the cool blues and warm golden tones, like memories fading in and out of consciousness. The delicate balance between presence and absence is felt in the negative space, a quiet tension between what is seen and unseen.
This piece is about memory, the passage of time, and the ghosts that remain with us—whether we embrace them, struggle against them, or find a way to let them go.
