Description:
Created during (2006 - 2020), more towards the early part of this period, which I call Early Chapter 1. My work at this stage was about process—each mark reflecting my observations and where I was in my life at that moment. Writing became a playful game with myself, a way to place words I had seen and heard from the world around me into various spaces before evolving them into small stories.
“My Friend” is a collection of these short stories, woven together with images and emotions, all converging on a single canvas. The layering of words and symbols creates an evolving conversation between thought and form, where memories, ideas, and observations take shape.
The handwritten text moves across the painting in different directions, inviting the viewer to explore, to pause, to reflect. Some words may reveal themselves immediately, while others remain partially obscured—just like fleeting thoughts or unfinished conversations. Delicate yet bold, this piece captures the movement of the mind, the rhythm of expression, and the intimacy of personal storytelling.
A visual diary, a poetic reflection, a moment in time captured through layers of paint and ink.
