The Beginning of My Artistic Journey Creative Journey
My creative journey as an artist began over 20 years ago. It was the start of me learning to let go of perfection and control—a process of discovery and acceptance. I picked up the cheapest notebook I could find and started drawing. I refused to erase mistakes, allowing lines and shapes to flow, revealing something unexpected each time. What I intended to draw often transformed into something else, and I found peace in that unpredictability. This same organic process extended into my writing, where I pieced together words like a puzzle, allowing thoughts to come together on different pages. These canvases became more than just creative exercises; they were my sanctuary, a space to process emotions, thoughts, and ideas. Art became my road map, guiding me through chaos, helping me let go of perfection, and ultimately, allowing me to create freely.

A Personal Story Shaped by Heritage
Born to a British father and an Iranian Jewish mother, my mixed heritage has deeply influenced my perspective as both an artist and a Colour Consultant. This duality—the opulence and vibrancy of Persian culture juxtaposed with the structure and reason of British traditions—has shaped my creativity. The clash and harmony of these two worlds often surface in my work, creating a tension between faith and reason, surrender and control. My art is my emotional language, a way of expressing the story within me. It’s a reminder that we hold the pen to our own lives, and it’s essential to take the time to listen to ourselves.

From Childhood Dreams to Colour Consultancy
As a child, I loved to draw. Whether it was Disney characters, designing games, or imagining new worlds, art was always my passion. After completing my art foundation, I was torn between Fine Art and Fashion. I chose to study Fashion Design with Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University, only to realise afterward that I didn’t want to pursue fashion design. I transitioned into retail management, working for brands like Nicole Farhi, Ozwald Boateng, Reiss, and Little Greene. Even in retail, my connection to art never left me. By the time I turned 30, I began to rediscover my artistic identity and develop my unique style, combining my love of colour, creativity, and storytelling. I spent all my spare time immersed in the creative world—painting, drawing, writing, and exploring ideas that fuelled my passion for art and design.

Discovering My Path in Colour Consultancy
With over 20 years of experience spanning art, fashion, interiors, and colour, I discovered that Colour Consultancy was the perfect culmination of my creative journey. My background in fashion and interiors enriched my understanding of design and aesthetics, giving me the tools to connect with clients on a deeper level and translate their visions into vibrant realities.During my 7 years as the flagship showroom manager and Colour Consultant for Little Greene and Paint Library, I developed their colour consultancy service for the UK market, creating workshops and collaborations that helped others find their own creative expression. I opened Little Greene’s first UK retail showroom in Marylebone, London, and enjoyed the creative freedom to experiment, learn, and educate.I also took on the role of educator, creating and conducting workshops for consumers, professionals, retail staff, stockists, and universities. My experience spans collaborations with galleries, curators, artists, muralists, hotels, retail spaces, architects, interior designers, and universities. Across thousands of projects—commercial and residential—I’ve helped clients with varying needs and desires bring their visions to life.

The Magic of Letting Go
Letting go has been a transformative experience for me. It’s taught me how to draw, write, and create without restraint. Whether I’m composing poems, sketching, or crafting a colour palette, I trust the process. The world of colour feels magical—it allows me to have honest, playful conversations with people who are eager to learn and explore. It’s this connection and creativity that make my work as a Colour Consultant truly fulfilling.
